This photo was taken in March 2023. I was on a 3 week long road trip around the South Island and made it as far as the top of the West Coast and Golden Bay. That morning we had woken up at the beach, spent our day riding horses and swimming in rivers and began our drive back to Nelson. The sun was setting and our Nelson local showed us a spot to catch the last moments of the day, looking out towards Lockett, Snowden and Devil Ranges.
