Moonraker - Fine Art Print
A mountain named Moonraker.
This photo was taken in May 2023 from a small plane, flying above the mountains in Mt Aspiring National Park. I got given the amazing opportunity to go on a flight with two incredible friends, it was the first sunrise flight of the season and the only one I've ever been on. The morning was perfect, and seeing the mountains where I call home from above, lit up by the first light of a new day, is something I will never forget. This peak in particular caught my attention, with views from its summit all the way out to the West Coast. I did not know its name at the time, so I spent hours looking over topographical maps and comparing photos to pinpoint exactly what I had photographed - Moonraker, sitting at 2054m.
